URC Indonesia recently held an Employee Gathering on August 24, 2024, with the theme “Energize for Excellence.” The event aimed to enhance engagement between employees, as well as with supervisors and the Board of Directors (BOD). It was also a celebration of the many achievements URC Indonesia has accomplished this year. The gathering, held at the Selayar plant in the MM2100 industrial area, was attended by more than 600 employees and served as a bonding and celebration event for URC Indonesia.

The event was attended by all URC Indonesia employees, including management members such as Mr. Taufiqurrahman Basthami, Mr. Johannes Lie, Mrs. Wiliana Rahayu, Mrs. Rachmawati Sutarto, Mr. Fredericus Pambudi, and Mr. Fajar Indrianto. Representatives from the workers’ union at URC Indonesia were also present.

Unlike previous Employee Gatherings, this year the event began with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, which involved planting tree seedlings next to the Selayar plant. The planting was carried out by members of the management team, union representatives, and employee representatives. Various types of tree seedlings were planted as part of a barter collaboration between URC Indonesia and the MM2100 industrial area. This activity is a reflection of URC Indonesia’s commitment to sustainability and its support for reforestation efforts. The Employee Gathering officially began after the CSR event.

The gathering was opened with a speech from the Country HR Manager, Mr. Fajar Indrianto, followed by a speech from the Head of the Workers’ Union, Mr. Edi Kurniawan, and a final speech from the Country General Manager, Mr. Taufiqurrahman Basthami. In his speech, Mr. Taufiq expressed his gratitude to all employees for URC Indonesia’s achievements this year and shared his hopes for the future. To officially mark the opening of the Employee Gathering, Mr. Taufiq pressed an alarm button at the end of his speech.

The Employee Gathering was filled with various performances by employees, including singing, dancing, and a flash mob. Not to be outdone, the BOD also joined in, singing and dancing with the crowd. There was also an announcement of the winners of the URC Indonesia Sports Competition, which featured badminton and table tennis. In the lead-up to the Employee Gathering, a video challenge was held with prizes worth up to 4 million rupiah.

The highlight of the event, eagerly awaited by all employees, was the door prize distribution. Many door prizes were available for URC Indonesia employees to take home, including shopping vouchers, earbuds, smartwatches, gold bars ranging from 1 – 5 grams, smartphones, laptops, and three grand prizes: an electric bike, an electric motorbike, and a Honda Beat motorbike. The three grand prizes were announced at the end of the Employee Gathering.

The gathering concluded with a performance by a guest star band, inviting employees to dance together in front of the stage. Thank you to all employees and the management of URC Indonesia for participating in this year’s Employee Gathering. See you at the next Employee Gathering and other events!
